Florete: A Clean-Slate Restart
ReteLabs is launching Florete as an open-source project — a post-IP network technology and orchestrator for mobile agents (robots, drones, personal devices).
We have decided to leave all our previous research and development in the past: the future must be built on a solid foundation, unburdened by potential intellectual property disputes.
We will publish the story of these negotiations, which lasted six months, and the lessons we drew from them, at a later date. For now, it is enough to say that despite these losses, the Florete project is finally launching, and we look to the future with optimism: the past has given us the necessary experience to make the new implementation even better than the previous one. And even faster: the restart will allow us to focus on what matters most and discard suboptimal decisions made in the past.
The development process will be organized at GitHub, the first repository has already been created — https://github.com/rete-labs/florete.
Forward, only forward!
